THE CBA BASKETBALL PATHWAY - There’s a Place for You at CBA
At Chilliwack Basketball Association, we believe every player should have a place to learn, develop, compete and enjoy the game.
Whether a child is picking up a basketball for the first time, looking to improve their skills, ready to join a competitive team, or pursuing higher-level opportunities, CBA provides a pathway designed to help them take the next step.

From your first dribble to your biggest goals, CBA is with you every step.

THE CBA ALL PLAYERS PATHWAY
1. FIRST BASKETBALL EXPERIENCE

Discover the game. Have fun. Build confidence.

The beginning of the CBA journey is about creating a positive first experience with basketball. Young players are introduced to movement, basketball fundamentals, teamwork and games in a fun and encouraging environment.
The goal is simple: help kids fall in love with basketball.

2. JR. BALLERS Ages 4–10
Jr. Ballers introduces young athletes to the fundamentals of basketball while continuing to emphasize fun and participation.
Players develop:
  • Ball handling, passing and shooting
  • Movement and coordination
  • Teamwork
  • Confidence
  • Game understanding
  • A love for basketball

3. CAMPS & SKILLS SESSIONS
Skills • Confidence • Games

CBA camps and skills sessions give players opportunities throughout the year to continue developing their game.
Programming includes skill development, competitions, small-sided games, basketball IQ and opportunities to learn from CBA coaches and special guest coaches.

Players can participate in camps and skills programs whether or not they play on a CBA club team.

4. CLUB BASKETBALL

Competitive Teams • Tournaments • Development

CBA Club Basketball is for athletes ready to experience a more competitive team environment.
Players receive regular practices, coaching, team development and opportunities to compete against programs from throughout the Fraser Valley and Lower Mainland.

Our goal is to develop the individual player within the team environment while providing meaningful competitive experiences.

5. HIGH PERFORMANCE
Advanced Training • Competitive Opportunities

For serious athletes looking to take another step, CBA High Performance opportunities focus on advanced skill development, basketball IQ, competition and preparation for higher levels of basketball.

The goal is to challenge motivated players while helping them understand what is required to continue progressing in the game.

THE CBA GIRLS PATHWAY
Built for Girls. Built for Development.
CBA is committed to creating outstanding basketball opportunities specifically for girls in Chilliwack.
Our Girls Pathway gives athletes the opportunity to progress from their first basketball experience through advanced training and competitive basketball.

MORE THAN BASKETBALL
Every stage of the CBA pathway is built around four principles:
SKILL - Developing better basketball players through quality coaching, purposeful instruction and opportunities to compete.
CONFIDENCE- Helping young athletes believe in themselves, take on challenges and develop leadership skills.
COMMUNITY- Creating connections between players, coaches and families while continuing to grow the game of basketball in Chilliwack.
FUN- Making sure athletes enjoy the journey and develop a lasting love for basketball.

FIND YOUR PLACE AT CBA
There is no single path through basketball.
Some athletes want to learn the game and have fun. Others want to improve their skills. Some want the experience of playing on a competitive team, while others have ambitions of playing basketball at increasingly higher levels.
CBA provides opportunities for all of them.
FIRST EXPERIENCE → JR. BALLERS → CAMPS & SKILLS → CLUB BASKETBALL → HIGH PERFORMANCE
